Selling books

Today, I got a box of books I've been trying to sell down to go through and sell. I had read about www.cash4books.com. While most of my books are paperbacks, Cash4Books takes very few paperbacks and has a strict policy on the condition of books. Of the books I inputted into the website, they would buy none. I will check back later with different books, maybe some text books I know that I have in a box somewhere.
In the past I've used Half.com in the past and have done pretty well, but with Cash4Books they pay the shipping right off the bat, you don't put out for the shipping at all, unless you choose not to print the mailing label they offer you.
My sister-in-law uses www.amazon.com to sell books, so I'm going to keep hunting and will report back later.

Adsense

So my first creative way to make money is to use google adsense, which means that by placing ads on my website and blogs (such as the ads and google search to the right of this post), i can make money from clicks and searches.
I haven't made any money yet, but I only started this blog yesterday and added the ads yesterday, so my current issue is getting people to read this blog. I first googled "submit blog" and came up with a list of sites to go to submit my blog. With that I'm hoping to gain my views of the blog and therefore get more clicks on the ads. So the big thing is having a site or blog that many people will want to visit and then getting the word out so people actually know it exists.
Subscribe to this blog and you will receive a notification when a new post is published.
Check back later for an update on how adsense is working out for me.
Thanks for reading!

Introduction

I've decided to start this blog as I struggle to make ends meet and pay off the debt I've accumulated over the last couple of years. Some personal debt, some for school and a car and most my business. It just kept adding up until I felt in over my head.
In the midst of working on paying everything off, my husband working fulltime to support us and me working part-time and running my own photography business that wasn't all that successful as I worked to get more clients as the economy quickly went into a downturn.
Then, my life changed. First, my husband decided he didn't want to be married to me. Having lived off his income, I was suddening at a sudden lost. But I always seem to perserve. So I wasn't too worried.
Next, I found out I was pregnant. And with the knowledge I would have a child in 8 months and be a single mother, I had to change my future plans, at least for the near future. And the morning sickness that ensued put a damper on my motivation to work and pursue work. Therefore my business took a quick dive.
As soon as I started feeling better, the second trimester, I was ready to work hard and make as much money as possible to put aside for my daughter and pay off as much debt as possible to put us at a better place. That was when I got put on modified best rest. A month later, after have been off bed rest for two weeks, I ended up in the hospital for a week, had a cerclage to keep my cervix closed and the baby from coming early, and was put on complete bed rest until the baby is born, or at least until the stitch is taken out around 35-36 weeks, which is still 3 months from now. I've been on complete bed rest for more than a month now.
Because of that, I am suddenly left with a very limited income (what my husband gives me for spousal support and for debt and shared bills, and the little I still get from my part-time job because I can do some work from bed on the computer and whatever else I can eek out from my business).
Paying the minimums on my debt and only budgeting for necesities (small amount of cash, utilities, rent, insurance, cell phone, etc...), I'm still finding myself short of what i need each month. I'm not one to just not pay my bills and hope they go away. I want this burden to be lifted so sometime after my baby is born, we can work on saving and traveling the world.
Since that realization, I've been looking into ways I can make money while laying about in bed. Since I've been unemployed for a year and a half, I don't qualify for disability, but am able to get some public assistance for the timebeing. I've made a long list of ideas that I could possibly do from the comfort of my bed, most of the time on the Internet, and in this blog I'm going to report on the different ideas I try out and if they worked and how well. Check back often, or sign up to get updates on this bliog to get the lastest post on my journey through making my monthly budget at the very least, and making a dent into my debt at the best cause. Well the best case is that I pay off all my debt quickly and can start saving.
WIsh me luck. And if you have any ideas, leave a comment. Course, I'm limited to things I can do at home, in bed on the Internet.
